GPS Test is a reliable app that allows you to assess GPS reception in your area and update AGPS data for faster fix times. Along with these features, you can also access other GPS and sensor data, making it a comprehensive tool for your needs.

One of the standout features of GPS Test is its ability to display a wide range of information in one place. You can easily view your altitude, accurate UTC plus local time, compass heading, moon phase, and daylight hours, all within the app. It supports various satellite systems, including GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, SBAS, BEIDOU, and QZSS.

The app offers different color schemes to suit your preferences and even includes a night mode. This level of customization ensures that GPS Test can seamlessly integrate with other instrumentation you may be using.

GPS Test consists of six different screens that provide valuable information:

<li>GPS signal (SNR) bar chart: It shows the signal strength, accuracy, and status of each satellite in a graphical format.</li>
<li>Satellite positions in the sky: This screen displays the positions of satellites on a rotating compass. It gives you a visual sense of their location.</li>
<li>Current location: It shows your current coordinates in text format as well as on a world map. Additionally, it displays the current position of the sun and the day/night transition curve.</li>
<li>Compass: This feature provides a standalone compass that assists with navigation.</li>
<li>Current speed, heading, and altitude: You can easily track this information in text format within the app.</li>
<li>Time information: The app reads the current time from the GPS and also displays the local time in your time zone. Additionally, it shows sunrise and sunset times specific to your location.</li>
</ol>

GPS Test supports various coordinate grids, including OSGB, UTM, MGRS, USNG, CH1903, and Maidenhead. It also works with multiple datums, such as WGS84, NAD83, NAD27, ED50, AGD66, AGD84, SAD69, and more.

You can use GPS Test on any device with screen resolutions ranging from phones to large tablets. This app is versatile and adaptable to your preferred device.

If you're looking for additional features, GPS Test Plus is worth considering. It offers simple navigation, location sharing capabilities (via email, SMS, Twitter), dials such as an altimeter, speedometer and compass, 7 segment LED font and dot matrix font options, and a HUD mode for even more convenience.

Please note that this free version of GPS Test offers in-app purchases to unlock additional features when needed. However, the app itself is fully functional without requiring an internet connection or data/wifi access.
